Chipping is a picturesque village in an area of outstanding beauty. The village itself has three shops a general store, a post office and a butchers, it also has two lovely pubs and a children's playground and public football pitch. All of this is within a short distance of the cottage which is in the heart of the village.
The local area is famed for its cycling and has many stunning walks some of which begin in the village itself. The area is also a gourmet lovers dream with many restaurants including the famous 'Inn at Whitewell', the Three Fishes, The Longridge Restaurant .
